Questions
Why does Apple reject my screenshots?
Almost always the pixel dimensions. App Store Connect accepts a fixed list of sizes and rejects anything else with “The dimensions of one or more screenshots are wrong”, a cropped or slightly-off capture will not pass. This tool outputs those exact sizes.
Which sizes do I actually need?
For iPhone, one set at 6.9″ (1290 × 2796) covers the store; Apple scales it for smaller devices. Add iPad 13″ if your app supports iPad, and 2560 × 1600 for a Mac app. Google Play needs 2–8 phone screenshots plus a 1024 × 500 feature graphic.
Fit or fill?
Fit keeps your entire screenshot and pads the difference with a colour matched to the image: safest, and usually invisible if your app has a solid background. Fill crops the edges to avoid bars; fine when nothing important sits near the edge.
Why is the feature graphic different?
Google Play requires the 1024 × 500 feature graphic to have no transparency, so it's saved without an alpha channel. It's also landscape, so a portrait screenshot will be padded heavily, most people design that one separately.
Will upscaling hurt?
Yes. Blowing a small capture up to 1290 × 2796 looks soft, and reviewers see it. Capture on the real device or a matching simulator whenever you can, the tool warns you when a target is larger than your source.
Are my screenshots uploaded?
No. Everything is resized in your browser with a canvas, and the zip is built locally. Unreleased app screenshots never leave your machine.
